Logline

This horror film, contains an opening full of suspense were a teenage girl is attacked in her own home by a serial killer who has a purpose that will be discover during the film. 

Opening 

The film starts in the afternoon in a forest close to her home, (panning and tracking shots are shown of her on a run in the forest). She slows down to take a break but hears rustling (deigetic sound of leaves) so runs home quickly ( links to film title). Parents have left a note on the kitchen table saying they have gone out. She sits down by the T.V in the kitchen, T.V starts glitching (close up of the T.V) (sound of t.v glitching). She turns the t.v and heads to her bedroom but hears the t.v come back on, she goes to turn it off again but the remote has gone, as she looks up she sees a reflection of someone standing behind her as she turns around a mans standing there with a white mask on and grabs her and she screams. 

Treatment 

16 year old Maddie is one of the many disturbing murders that occur, she goes for a run through the forest but discovers many warning signs put up by the police, and sirens in the distance however only the audience can hear them as she is wearing headphones. When she approaches all the signs and tape she reads them and realises that a murder has happened further on, whilst reading these she hears rustling so quickly runs back home. She locks her back door which is emphasised by the extreme close up but can hear her mum's car engine starting she quickly runs towards the glass window at the front but isn't quick enough as her mother drives away, she banging on the window and breathing heavily as she is panicking. She goes to sit down and picks up her phone but whilst she is texting her hands are shaking, that moment all the power turns off. She goes down to the basement to check whats happened and as she's opening the door of the power room the tv behind turns on but with no signal and all the lights are switched off still. When she enters the dark opened spaced room she turns to the switch and behind her the serial killer appears, the audience see this first before she does.  She is the attack by the man and the opening scene finishes.  The rest of the film will be based on the serial killer going to each house and mudering someone and the police trying to catch him.
